Dr Simon Coffey is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in primary and revision hip and knee replacement. With over two decades in specialist practice, he has trained many surgeons through Nepean Hospital, a University of Sydney teaching hospital, and served as an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He collaborates closely with industry partners in education and on implant development, including the Paragon hip system and Apex knee components. He serves as treasurer on the executive of the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society (APAS). He is an active member of the Arthroplasty Society of Australia (ASA) as well as an executive member of the Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons (ASOS). His research interests include knee alignment and balance, RSA-based implant position validation, and robot-assisted unicondylar arthroplasty. He operates at Nepean Private Hospital and Macquarie University Hospital.
