Dr. Parag Sancheti, an Orthopaedic surgeon is the Chairman of Sancheti Group of Hospitals. He is practicing at Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation (SIOR) & Sancheti Advanced Orthocare Hospital (SAOC), Pune, India. He is a specialist in Arthroscopy and Joint Replacement surgery. He has a special interest in Knee surgery, Sports Medicine & Research. He is also a visiting faculty for MCh (Ortho) course at University of Dundee in UK & Mc Master University (Canada). 
 
Dr. Parag is the Dean of the PG College of Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, which renders courses in MS Orthopaedics. He has been a past member of the Academic Council of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences ( MUHS) & Symbiosis International University & currently serves as member of Academic Council of Bharati Vidyapeeth University. Dr. Parag has also been elected as the Senate Member of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences ( MUHS). Dr. Parag is the 1st  Vice President of Indian Society of Hip & Knee Surgeon (ISHKS). He has also recently been elected as Vice President of Indian Arthroscopy Society ( IAS).
 
Dr. Parag is the Secretary General of Bone and Joint Decade (BJD), Founder member of Society of Knee Surgeons of India ( SKI) & Indian Society of Hip & Knee Surgeon (ISHKS) & President of MCh Alumni Association (UK). He is on the Board of International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) of USA. He has also been the Immediate Past President of Ranawat Orthopaedic Society (ROCS), Past President of Asia Pacific Knee Society ( APKS), Maharashtra Orthopaedic Association ( MOA), Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society (APAS),  Indian Association of Sports Medicine (IASM) & Poona Orthopaedic Society (POS) , Past Secretary for Indian Arthroscopy Society (IAS) & Poona Orthopaedic Society (POS). He was the Convenor of Medical Committee for Commonwealth Youth Games held in Pune in 2008. 

Dr. Parag completed his M.S in orthopaedics from B.J Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, Pune in 1992. He secured first rank during his MS (Ortho) exams in Pune University. Dr. Parag did further specialisation in Arthroscopy & Joint Replacement Surgery from Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham (UK), Katherinen Hospital in Stuttgart (Germany), University Hospital in Zurich (Switzerland), Hospital in Dallas & Lenox Hill Hospital in New York( USA). He did his MCh (Ortho) course from UK where he received the Best Presentation Skills award. He has been awarded the coveted FRCS Degree from Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2012. He has recently been awarded the Hon. Doctorate Degree ‘ Doctor of Laws’ from University of Dundee, U.K

Dr. Parag Sancheti is a renowned knee surgeon and heads the Knee Unit at Sancheti Group of Hospitals. He performs more than 1000 knee replacements and more than 800 knee arthroscopy surgeries every year.
 
Dr Parag has written various chapters & textbooks. He has authored various books like Comprehensive Guide in Knee & Hip Arthroplasty ( 3rd Edition – Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society Delta Compendium), Manual of Infection Control in Orthopaedic Surgery & Clinical Research Made Easy. He has got more than 50 publications in national & international Journals to his credit. Dr. Parag has been invited speaker at national & international conferences to give lectures on Knee Surgery.  

Dr. Parag is an Orthopaedic consultant to Ministry of Health, Oman. He regularly conducts clinics in Muscat, UAE, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Middle East& other countries to give his expert opinion. His vast knowledge and experience in his specialized field benefits patients from all over the country and overseas too. 

As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, Dr Parag has organised various complimentary diagnostic as well as surgical camps in various places all over the country. This service is done totally on charity basis for the underprivileged and weaker section of the society.

He has won social awards like the Rashtra Seva Puraskar, Award of Excellence by Governor of Maharashtra &MITCON Achievers Awards and many other such awards. He was also nominated as one of the ‘Icons of Pune’ by the Lokmat Group for having contributed for the development of the city. Dr. Parag has been awarded as ‘ Inspiring Orthopaedician of India’ by Economic Times Conclave & as ‘ India’s Top Orthopaedician’ by Medgate Today. Dr. Parag has been awarded with the Hall of Fame 2022 Award by Pune Times Mirror towards significant contribution in the field of Orthopaedics in March 2022. Recently in March 2023, Dr. Parag has been awarded with the Brilliance Award – Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Orthopaedic Surgeon presented by Sheetal Creation & Pune Times Mirror. Dr. Parag has also been awarded the Vocational Excellence Award by Rotary Clubs in Pune in the year 2018 & 2023.
