Professor Crawford is the chair of orthopaedic research at the Queensland University  of Technology. He has published over 400 peer reviewed papers with many  being in the field of hip and knee arthroplasty. He performs hip and knee arthroplasty surgery in both the public and private sectors and continues to train registrars and international fellows.
