Abstracts

Abstract Guidelines

We are now accepting abstract submissions for this conference. Abstracts may be selected for oral or poster presentations. Please ensure your submissions adhere to the following guidelines:

Categories

Abstracts should focus on the following areas related to Hip & Knee:

• Arthroplasty
• Joint Preservation
• Trauma
• Sports

Presentation Format

• Oral Presentation: 5 minutes presentation + 2 minutes Q&A Session
• Poster Presentation: no live presentation

Abstract Submission Requirements

1. Number of Submissions:
• Each participant may submit up to TWO abstracts as the presenting author.
2. Submission Process:
• Submissions must be completed via the official website on www.mshksconference.com by 30 April 2025.
• Abstracts must be submitted in both Microsoft Word and PDF formats.
3. Abstract Format: Please adhere to the specified formats for original paper or case report submission.

Please download and adhere to the official template:

• Must not exceed 500 words including title
• Font size & type: 11 Times New Roman
• Spacing and Alignment: Single spacing and justified fields.
• Figure / Table: Up to 3 figures including graphs and tables, etc. are allowed for review only. (Font size within the figures must be clearly visible and must not be less than size 10)
• Margin: 0.75” (1.9 cm) margin
• If the abstract contains identifiers e.g. name of hospital in the text body, the authors need to underline them in order for the secretariat to omit them when it is sent for evaluation
• File submitted must be in Word document not more than 2.5 MB
• Final poster presentations may have more tables and charts than the successful abstracts
• Base your conclusions only on the data presented within the abstract
• Give actual P values rather stating P < 0.05
• Try to ensure the English correctly conveys the intended meaning - if English is not your first language it may be useful to ask someone to review your abstract before submitting

Publication

1. Oral presentations:
• All accepted abstracts for oral presentations will be collected into the Meeting Proceedings and published in Arthroplasty, the official journal of ASIA.
2. Discounted Publication for Top 5 Abstracts:
• The top 5 abstracts will be eligible to submit full papers for publication in Arthroplasty at a special 50% discounted rate (regular fee: USD 2,790).
3. Poster Presentations:
• Poster presentations are eligible to include detailed visuals, tables, or radiographs in their final display at the conference. All accepted abstracts for poster presentations will also be collected into the Meeting Proceedings and published in Arthroplasty.
**Only Arthroplasty & Joint Preservations categories are included in Arthroplasty.
